FIT and MicroFIT

The provincial government of Ontario passed legislation called The Green Energy Act earlier this year that, in part, mandates electrical utilities to allow individuals and businesses to sell renewable electricity back to the power grid. The specific program for allowing this to happen is called the Feed In Tariff or FIT. To streamline the process for smaller installations (10kW or less), there is a special program called microFIT.
