Sean Flanagan, owner of Flanagan and Sun, had the unbelievable good fortune to meet Flora at a trade show at Trent University in 2007. As part of her degree requirement, Flora is required to complete a 160 hour internship. She has been interning at Flanagan and Sun since the beginning of August 2008.

One of the concerns of a business owner when taking on a intern is how much time will be spent training and supervising the new worker. It was clear from the first day on the job that there was no need for such concerns with Ms Hofmann. Flora learns quickly, anticipates subsequent steps on a project, and always takes the initiative on the job. Her work ethic is fantastic!

On top of all of this, Sean has been learning something of the German language from Flora. Okay, his English has also improved since Ms Hofmann began her internship. The only problem now is what Flanagan and Sun will do when Flora's internship is over. Ich weiss nicht.
